Election Day

It's Election Day in Chicago again. This time it's the special election to fill Rahm Emanuel's 5th congressional district seat. Want to bet on the outcome? 

I'm betting it will be either Fritchey  or Quigley but I'm hearing Donatelli could upset the applecart.  Guess we'll find out soon enough. Either way it's still Chicago machine politics.

Yay! Elections are over.

Well, for the most part. I think they're still counting in Minnesota and Missouri.  Looks like Mr. President-Elect has hit the ground running. I'm so pleased to hear that he'll be reviewing and getting rid of W's "executive orders" ASAP.  Finally, we have a responsible adult in the White House.

Less than a week.

It's Wednesday the 29th of October. It's less than a week before Election day.   I don't know or care who you're voting for.  That's up to you and your conscience. One thing I'm sure of is I'm done with politics. I don't want to hear another word spoken on the subject.  This political season has been the worst in my memory.  The most vile and abusive things have been said about perfectly good people. The level of hatred displayed by my fellow citizens toward each other is apalling.  I'm ashamed.  I fear for our future.
